Corrections Policy

If something on this site is wrong, we want to fix it. Here is exactly how that works.

How to report an error

Email keepingitrealnwa@gmail.com with the URL of the page, the sentence or figure in question, and what you believe is incorrect. If you have a source, please include it.

You can also call (479) 737-4422 during business hours and ask for Laycee. Voicemails left after hours are returned the next business day.

What we do with your report

We acknowledge every correction request within two business days. If your report is accurate, we update the page promptly, usually within the same week. We then add a "Correction" line at the bottom of the page noting what was changed and on what date.

If we disagree with your report, we will explain why, in writing, and link to the source we relied on. If your source is more authoritative than ours, we update the page.

What counts as a "material" correction

A material correction is anything that changes the meaning of a page, including but not limited to:

  • Tax rates, deadlines, or credit amounts
  • Statutory or regulatory citations
  • Median home prices, rate-of-sale figures, or market data
  • Names, license numbers, or contact information for a person or business
  • Geographic or jurisdictional boundaries

Material corrections are annotated on the page. Typos and grammar fixes are made silently.

What does not change

Opinion content (for example, our recommendations on how to negotiate or how to weigh trade-offs) is labeled as our perspective. We are happy to engage with disagreement, but we will not retract opinion as if it were factual error.

Retraction

If a page is so substantially incorrect that the right move is to take it down, we will replace the URL with a short notice explaining what was wrong and what is now the correct understanding. We do not silently delete pages.
