Accessibility Statement
Local Living Real Estate targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliance across every page of this website. We review the site at least quarterly and remediate reported accessibility issues within 30 days. If you encounter a barrier, email keepingitrealnwa@gmail.com or call (479) 737-4422 and we will address it.
Our standard
We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is the standard recommended by the U.S. Department of Justice for ADA Title III website compliance and the benchmark most commonly referenced in fair housing access cases.
What we do
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading levels, landmarks, and skip links.
- Descriptive alt text on all content images.
- Keyboard accessible navigation including the main menu, property filters, and all form fields.
- Color contrast ratios tested against the 4.5:1 AA threshold for body text and 3:1 for large text and interactive elements.
- Form fields paired with proper label elements and error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Focus indicators visible on every interactive element.
- Reduced motion respected when the operating system sets `prefers-reduced-motion`.
Known issues
We take accessibility seriously enough to publish a specific list of known gaps rather than a generic promise. As of 2026-04-19:
- Video content: none currently. When video is added, it will include captions and a transcript.
- Future MLS integration: once a real MLS IDX feed replaces the current listing template, we will re-audit listing pages end to end and publish the result here.

What changed: The v2.2 rebuild of/pages/areas.htmlremoved all placeholder SVG schematics. Current content is text only with semantic headings and a cited county comparison table (added 2026-04-19). Third party content
Parts of the site rely on third party services (Google Fonts, Google Analytics, and future MLS IDX integration). We work within the accessibility features those providers offer but cannot guarantee their output will meet the same standard as our original content. Known third party gaps will be listed here as they are identified.
